INTENDED USE
The Canine C-reactive protein (C-CRP) Test kit is a fluorescence-based immunoassay intended for the quantitative determination of C-reactive protein (CRP), a major acute-phase protein, in canine whole blood, serum, or plasma. It is designed to aid detection and monitoring of systemic inflammation and infection, assessment of disease severity, and evaluation of response to anti-inflammatory or antimicrobial therapy. This product is for veterinary diagnostic use and should be interpreted together with clinical findings.
PRINCIPLE
The test employs a double-antibody sandwich fluorescence immunoassay on a nitrocellulose membrane. Fluorescent microsphere-labeled anti-cCRP antibodies bind to cCRP in the sample, and the complex is captured at the test (T) line by immobilized anti-cCRP antibodies. A control (C) line verifies the assay. A portable fluorescence analyzer measures the T/C fluorescence intensity ratio, which is proportional to the cCRP concentration, providing a quantitative result.
