INTENDED USE

The Canine Coronavirus Antigen (CCV Ag) Test kit is a fluorescence-based immunoassay intended for the qualitative detection of Canine Coronavirus antigen in canine fecal samples. It assists veterinarians in the early screening of CCV infection in dogs presenting with diarrhea or vomiting, and in the differential diagnosis of viral enteritis when used alongside CPV and CDV testing. This product is for veterinary diagnostic use; results should be correlated with clinical signs and other diagnostic methods.

PRINCIPLE

The test uses a double-antibody sandwich fluorescence immunoassay on a nitrocellulose membrane. Fecal antigen released in the sample diluent binds to anti-CCV monoclonal antibodies conjugated with fluorescent microspheres. The complex migrates to the test (T) line, where immobilized anti-CCV antibodies capture it, producing a measurable fluorescent signal. A control (C) line confirms the assay has performed correctly. A portable fluorescence analyzer reads the T/C fluorescence intensity ratio to provide a qualitative result. Fresh fecal samples are recommended for best performance.

SPECIMEN

Canine feces. Prepare a fecal suspension by mixing the sample with the provided sample diluent before application to the test device.
