Feline Panleukopenia Virus Antigen (FPV Ag) Test kit
Catalog No.:
Description
This fluorescence immunoassay (FIA) rapid test detects Feline Panleukopenia Virus antigen (FPV Ag) in feline feces. It aids in the early diagnosis of feline panleukopenia and in monitoring viral shedding in multi-cat environments.

INTENDED USE
The FPV Ag FIA test is intended for the qualitative detection of Feline Panleukopenia Virus antigen in feline feces. It supports early diagnosis of FPV infection (feline distemper), screening in shelters and catteries, and monitoring of viral shedding during treatment. Positive results should be confirmed with additional methods such as PCR where clinically indicated.
PRINCIPLE
The FPV Ag FIA uses a double-antibody sandwich format on a nitrocellulose membrane. Fluorescent microsphere-labeled anti-FPV monoclonal antibodies bind FPV antigen in the fecal extract, and the complex is captured by immobilized anti-FPV antibodies at the T line. The C line verifies assay validity. The FIA analyzer reads the T/C fluorescence intensity ratio and reports a qualitative result.
SPECIMEN
Feces. Collect fecal material with the provided swab, mix thoroughly in sample diluent, and apply the prepared extract to the cassette; use fresh samples for best results.
