INTENDED USE
The fSAA FIA test is intended for the quantitative determination of feline Serum Amyloid A (fSAA) in whole blood, serum, or plasma. It is used as an aid in the early detection of inflammation, monitoring of disease progression and treatment efficacy, and assessment of inflammatory severity. Results should be interpreted together with clinical signs and other diagnostic data.
PRINCIPLE
The fSAA FIA employs a double-antibody sandwich fluorescence immunoassay on a nitrocellulose membrane. Fluorescent microsphere-labeled anti-fSAA antibodies bind fSAA in the sample, and the complex is captured by immobilized anti-fSAA antibodies at the T line. The C line confirms proper assay performance. The FIA analyzer quantifies the T/C fluorescence intensity ratio, with signal strength proportional to fSAA concentration.

Whole blood, serum, or plasma (WB/S/P). Use fresh, clear, non-hemolyzed samples; store appropriately if testing is delayed and avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
