INTENDED USE
The Veterinary Luteinizing Hormone (LH) Test Kit is a fluorescence immunoassay intended for the quantitative determination of luteinizing hormone (LH) concentration in canine and feline serum or plasma. It is designed to aid in identifying the LH surge for optimal breeding-time management and in evaluating reproductive cycles and gonadal status. Results should be interpreted with clinical reproductive history. For veterinary diagnostic use only.
PRINCIPLE
The test uses a double-antibody sandwich fluorescence immunoassay. Anti-LH capture antibodies are immobilized on the nitrocellulose membrane at the test line (T line). During incubation, LH in the specimen binds to the immobilized antibody, and a second anti-LH antibody conjugated to fluorescent nanoparticles binds the captured LH, forming a sandwich complex. A control line (C line) confirms adequate specimen flow and reaction. The fluorescence analyzer reads the T-line/C-line intensity ratio, which is directly proportional to the LH concentration and is reported quantitatively.
