INTENDED USE

The Veterinary thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) Test Kit is a fluorescence immunoassay intended for the quantitative determination of thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) concentration in canine serum or plasma, and on supported platforms in feline serum or plasma. It is designed to aid in the evaluation of thyroid function, differentiation of primary hypothyroidism, and monitoring of thyroid hormone replacement therapy. Results should be interpreted together with total T4 and clinical findings. For veterinary use only.

PRINCIPLE

The test uses a double-antibody sandwich fluorescence immunoassay. Anti-TSH capture antibodies are immobilized on the nitrocellulose membrane at the test line (T line). During incubation, TSH in the specimen binds to the immobilized antibody, and a second anti-TSH antibody conjugated to fluorescent nanoparticles binds the captured TSH, forming a sandwich complex. A control line (C line) confirms correct assay performance. The fluorescence analyzer measures the T-line/C-line intensity ratio, which is directly proportional to the TSH concentration and is reported quantitatively.

SPECIMEN

Serum or plasma (S/P). Lithium-heparin plasma or plain serum is suitable; separate within the recommended time, avoid severely hemolyzed samples, and do not use serum separator tubes if specified by the platform.
