INTENDED USE
For in vitro detection of antibodies to Leptospira spp. in canine whole blood, serum, or plasma. It assists in screening for leptospiral infection and differentiating acute febrile, renal, or hepatic illness of suspected infectious origin. For veterinary use only; interpret results together with clinical signs, exposure history, and confirmatory testing.
PRINCIPLE
The assay is a fluorescence immunochromatographic test using an indirect format. Leptospira antigen (e.g., outer membrane proteins) is coated at the T line on the nitrocellulose membrane, with a control line at C. The conjugate pad holds fluorescent microsphere-labeled anti-canine IgG/IgM secondary antibody. Sample antibodies specific to Leptospira bind the immobilized antigen at the T line and are then detected by the labeled secondary antibody. The fluorescence analyzer measures the T/C intensity ratio to provide a qualitative or semi-quantitative antibody result.

Canine whole blood, serum, or plasma (WB/S/P). Avoid severely hemolyzed samples where possible and prepare with the supplied diluent before loading.
