Canine parvovirus antigen (CPV Ag) Test kit
Catalog No.:
Description
The Canine Parvovirus Antigen (CPV Ag) FIA Test Kit is a rapid in vitro immunofluorescence chromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of CPV antigen in canine feces. It aids early on-site diagnosis of highly contagious parvoviral enteritis.

INTENDED USE
The test is intended for the qualitative detection of canine parvovirus antigen in canine fecal specimens or rectal swabs. It is used as an aid in the rapid diagnosis of canine parvovirus infection, supporting prompt isolation and treatment. Results should be interpreted alongside clinical signs and, if negative with high suspicion, confirmed by PCR.
PRINCIPLE
The test uses a fluorescence immunochromatographic double-antibody sandwich format. CPV antigen in the buffered fecal extract binds fluorescence microsphere-conjugated anti-CPV antibodies and is captured at the T line by immobilized anti-CPV antibodies. A C line containing an anti-species antibody serves as a procedural control. The fluorescence analyzer measures the T/C signal to determine the presence of CPV antigen.
SPECIMEN
Feces (or rectal swab). Collect fresh feces, mix with assay buffer, and apply the extract; process promptly, as antigen detection is most reliable during peak shedding.
