The Canine Respiratory Triad (CDV-CIV-CPIV Ag) FIA Test Kit is a multiplex rapid in vitro immunofluorescence assay for the simultaneous qualitative detection of CDV, CIV, and CPIV antigens in canine conjunctival secretions. It enables one-test screening of three major respiratory pathogens.

INTENDED USE
The test is intended for the simultaneous qualitative detection of canine distemper virus (CDV), canine influenza virus (CIV), and canine parainfluenza virus (CPIV) antigens in canine conjunctival secretion. It is used as an aid in the rapid differential diagnosis of the canine infectious respiratory disease complex. Three independent T lines allow concurrent reading of each analyte from a single sample.
PRINCIPLE
The cassette contains three analyte-specific T lines (CDV, CIV, CPIV) and a shared C line on a nitrocellulose membrane. Fluorescence microsphere-conjugated anti-CDV, anti-CIV, and anti-CPIV antibodies in the conjugate pad bind their respective viral antigens in the conjunctival extract. During chromatography each antigen–antibody complex is captured at its corresponding T line by immobilized capture antibodies, while unbound conjugate is captured at the C line as a procedural control. A fluorescence analyzer reads the T/C ratio of each line to report CDV, CIV, and CPIV results from one assay.

Conjunctival secretion collected with a sterile swab. Mix the swab in the assay buffer, rotate to extract, then apply the prepared extract to the sample well.
