INTENDED USE

This test is intended for the in vitro simultaneous detection of Feline Immunodeficiency Virus antigen and Feline Leukemia Virus antigen (FeLV p27) in feline whole blood, serum, or plasma, used with a fluorescence immunoassay analyzer. It is used as an aid for point-of-care screening of retroviral infection, early detection in asymptomatic cats, and monitoring of FeLV-positive cats during disease progression. Confirmatory testing (e.g., PCR) is recommended for positive results; for veterinary use only.

PRINCIPLE

The test utilizes dual-channel fluorescence immunochromatography on a single strip with two independent T lines, one specific for FIV antigen and one for FeLV p27 antigen. Each target is detected by a double-antibody sandwich assay: fluorescent nanoparticle-conjugated capture antibodies bind the respective viral antigen in the sample, and the complex is captured at its dedicated T line by immobilized monoclonal antibodies. A single sample application migrates through both channels; the fluorescence analyzer reads each T-line signal independently against the C line and reports results for both FIV and FeLV antigens.

SPECIMEN

Whole blood, serum, or plasma (WB/S/P). Collect the sample using the appropriate anticoagulated tube for whole blood or separate serum/plasma from whole blood; apply the prepared sample to the cassette and read with the analyzer after incubation.
