Canine coronavirus antibody (CCV Ab) Test kit

Catalog No.:RCCVABW

Description

This test qualitatively detects antibodies against canine coronavirus (CCoV) in whole blood, serum, or plasma from dogs. CCoV is an enteric coronavirus of dogs. The cassette yields a visual result by naked-eye reading within minutes at the point of care, aiding rapid assessment of exposure or immune status.

INTENDED USE

For the qualitative detection of antibodies against canine coronavirus (CCoV) in whole blood, serum, or plasma from dogs, intended for veterinary point-of-care use. It aids in assessing prior exposure to or immune status against CCoV. A positive result indicates exposure or vaccination rather than active infection; interpret with clinical signs and other diagnostics.

PRINCIPLE

The CCV Ab Rapid Test is a lateral-flow immunochromatographic assay based on colloidal gold labeling. The test cassette contains a nitrocellulose membrane with a test (T) line pre-coated with capture antigen and a control (C) line. When the processed whole blood, serum, or plasma is added to the sample well, it migrates by capillary action. If anti-CCoV antibody is present, it binds the gold-conjugated antigen and is captured at the T line, forming a visible colored band. The C line should always appear, confirming the assay ran correctly. Results are read visually by the naked eye within the stated time; no instrument is required.

SPECIMEN

Use whole blood, serum, or plasma collected by venipuncture. For serum or plasma, centrifuge promptly and avoid hemolysis; for whole blood use fresh, unhemolyzed samples. Mix well before applying to the test.
